What is Kambo?

Kambo is a consecrated medicine that is gathered from the secretions from a giant monkey frog commonly known as phyllomedusa bicolor. How to Harvest and Administer Kambo.

The Shamans who are experienced in extracting it from the frog scrap the frog’s skin with care to ensure it’s not harmed.

The person’s skin is burned using incense to cause blisters where the Kambo is applied and penetrates to the lymphatic system to ensure that the healing process starts.

Reactions of the body.

Who should not use Kambo?

People with the following conditions are discouraged from using Kambo

  • Have had an organ Transplant.
  • Heart conditions or in case that a person underwent bypass surgery.
  • Pregnant.
  • Breastfeeding.
  • Undergoing chemotherapy( 6 weeks before or 6 weeks after)
  • Pericardial effusion.

Preparation for Kambo Treatment

Anyone who wishes to use Kambo needs to be well prepared for the ceremony and as such it’s imperative to ensure that one goes through fasting for at least 6 hours before the ceremony, remain hydrated a few days, ensure that you are not under any medication and eat clean food as much as possible. This will boost the system to generate a great outcome once through with the ceremony.
