About DBT Residential Treatment
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Residential Treatment is a decision that should be made carefully. Beyond the financial commitment, there must be a commitment to recovery and a sincere desire on the part of each resident to achieve a life of balance . Programs should follow the scientific standard for DBT care. Skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal relationships. These skills take 26 weeks to teach in an outpatient setting but much quicker in a residential program. ALL PROGRAMS SHOULD HAVE AN “INTENSIVELY TRAINED DBT TEAM” DO NOT SETTLE FOR LESS, IT RARELY WORKS! Dialectical Behavioral Therapy done correctly has an 87% success rate. We believe that the programs listed below are among the best in the country and provide a caring, supportive and empowering environment to their residents. I have many calls a day asking “is there anyone in my state” the answer is usually “no one intensively trained following the scientific protocol” The Meehl Foundation Intensively Trained DBT Team will only recommend the following programs:
